The first posthumous verses from late Memphis rapper Young Dolph have arrived via the Paper Route Empire compilation project Long Live Dolph.
Following the release of Key Glock’s earnest “Proud” single, PRE rappers Kenny Muney, Jay Fizzle, Paper Route Woo, Joddy Badass, Snupe Bandz, Chitana and Big Moochie Grape joined forces to deliver the full eight-track project on Friday (January 21).
Chicago rapper and recent PRE signee Chitana offer’s his melodic hook-work in support of Young Dolph’s sentimental bars on “Love For Me,” which captures the Big Flipper professing his love for his girl and loved ones.
The song exudes an ominous frequency as Chitana opens up the record with the cryptic bars, “I know you got love for me/Yeah [Yeah, yeah]/But would you spill some blood for me?” Dolph’s bars also cut with precision even from beyond the grave, as he raps, “I know you got rеal love for me, got me a rеal one luckily/Private jets and bubbly, that pistol she gon’ buss for me.”
In the weeks following Young Dolph’s tragic shooting death outside of his favorite local cookie shop in Memphis, the Rich Slave rapper’s longtime girlfriend Mia Jaye has shown her undying love and support on multiple occasions as she continues to process and deal with the immeasurable loss of Dolph.
Mia Jaye’s Mom-E-O business began receiving a major sales boost from about 20 to anywhere between 250 and 600 orders per day in their line of products home to the Black Men Deserve To Grow Old department — which also includes a tribute hoodie in honor of Young Dolph.
She also spoke in her first interview earlier this month, revealing that she and Young Dolph were planning their wedding before the PRE founder was shot dead. So far, three suspects have been apprehended in connection with the murder of Young Dolph including prime suspect, 23-year-old Justin Johnson, Cornelius Smith, Shundale Barnett.
